GUIDED FARM TOUR - Mingle with the Alpacas

WALK AN ALPACA

ALL ACTIVITIES ARE WEATHER DEPENDENT.

 ENJOY  - View the alpacas from outside the fence.  Walk around the pastures and take as many pictures as you'd like.

Shop in the Farm/Gift shop where you will find a variety of Alpaca Products:  Items from our own alpacas at Cabin View Alpacas; woven scarves by David Houseworth; products produced in NYS by local artisans, fiber pools and products imported from Peru where alpacas are their primary livelihood.

GUIDED FARM TOUR - Learn about alpacas and their purpose as you walk among the alpacas and babies.  Purchase a bag of feed for our "piggy" alpacas that will eat from your hand.  We also throw in a glimpse of a chicken or two, a couple of donkeys - Bert and Ernie - and a couple of goats - Patches and Teddy.  We cannot forget our greeters - Thelma and Louise.

Like all good tours we end with a stop at the Farm/Gift shop where you will find a variety of Alpaca Products.

WALK AN ALPACA - Take an alpaca on a short walk in the confines of a penned in area.  Learn the proper way to handle an alpaca as well as how to put on and take off a halter.  Approximately 20 minutes.  Children must be at least 12 years old to walk an alpaca on their own.
